The Challenge
Where can technology move the business forward?
Pennington had goals for growth, marketing, patient interaction, and efficiency. They also had a question many business leaders are asking right now: Where does AI actually fit?
The practice was interested in what AI could make possible, but wanted more than a list of tools or trends.
They wanted to understand where it could make a meaningful difference, how to use it responsibly, and what risks needed to be considered along the way.
That called for a broader technology conversation.

The Conversation
Pennington’s questions started with AI, but the conversation quickly became bigger than that. TechSeven worked with the team to connect technology decisions to the outcomes the practice was trying to achieve.
Rather than starting with tools, we started with the business. Where could technology improve efficiency? Where could it support growth? Where could it make patient interaction better? And where could risk undermine those gains?
From there, we helped Pennington identify practical ways AI could support the practice while also addressing policy, governance, cybersecurity, and responsible-use considerations that needed to be part of the conversation.
The goal was to make sure technology supported the strategy.

“A lot of businesses are dabbling with AI in one way or another. The strategic part is asking where it can actually help the business improve efficiency, remove friction, or support a bigger goal. With Pennington, we looked at those opportunities in the context of where the practice is going, then made sure risk, policy, and best practice were part of the plan. That is what turns AI from a tool into part of a technology strategy.”
