Call Screening
Unknown callers have to state their name and reason before your phone rings. You’ll see a live transcript, then decide whether to pick up or let it go.
Turn on: Settings → Apps → Phone → Screen Unknown Callers → Ask Reason for Calling
Call Filtering
Automatically blocks or silences suspected spam and telemarketers before they hit your screen. You can also choose to block all unknown callers completely, so only saved contacts can reach you.
Turn on: Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Filtering
Hold Assist Detection
If you’re stuck in a call queue, your iPhone now listens for the agent to return and notifies you when a real human finally answers. You can set the phone down and avoid the elevator-music torture.
Turn on: Settings → Apps → Phone → Hold for Me / Hold Assist
